We love pins and pin collecting, and we’ve been in the business of making them for three decades. For years, we’ve noticed as the Olympics have come and gone, or when the big trip to Disney is over, that the pin collectors we connect with did not have a place to rally together and share the love of their hobby. In the last few weeks, we’ve begun to introduce PinCollector.com to fill the gap!
PinCollector.com seeks to be the world’s largest single repository of images, data and information about collectible pins. It uniquely integrates: Community-curation and collaboration like that pioneered by Wikipedia; Social Media elements to make it function as a Community, and a Marketplace where collectors can Buy, Sell and Trade pins.
And what does that mean to a PinCollector? It means you can record, manage, share and value your collection without having to spend hours entering data! A few clicks and you’re building your online collection. Buy, sell, trade and discuss pins with colleagues around the world in a community created specifically for pin collectors.
The Pin Catalog is organized by categories of pin collecting, so you can look into Olympic Pins (by far the largest category in this rollout), Disney Pins, Hard Rock Pins, and so on. Dive deep into specific types of pins, filtering and searching any way you like! The Pin Collectors section can be searched by name, types of pins they collect, own or want, and so on. The My Collection section is where you build your collection for your own reference, sharing, buying, selling and valuing. Lastly, the Marketplace section is where you can buy and sell pins 24/7/365, for a fixed price, or by auction!
