Challenge Coin

Challenge Coin

At Pincentives we get to work with lots of different people and organizations, each with unique needs and purposes for their custom items. Our job, as with the Dekalb County Police Department, is to bring their ideas to life! With each custom piece we do, we work to help build connections with organizations across the nation by creating custom pins, challenge coins and other metal objects for their needs. Recently we had the privilege of creating a challenge coin for the DCPD that symbolizes what they mean to the community.

A challenge coin is typically 1.50” - 2.00”, bearing an organization’s insignia or emblem and carried by the organization’s members. Originally, they were used to prove membership or identity with a group. Today, they are mostly used for team-building and morale. There’s a huge culture of trading and collecting by military service members, law enforcement personnel, public officials and service groups like Optimists and Rotarians! This was the perfect choice for the DCPD, and we were able to translate their shield and symbols into a rich 3D using their navy and gold colors to give it the wow factor.

The men and women of the DeKalb County Police Department proudly serve over 500,000 citizens within a 271 square mile radius! It Is the department's mission to enhance the quality of life in DeKalb County by working cooperatively with the public and within the framework of the U.S. Constitution to serve and protect, enforcing the laws, preserving the peace, reducing fear and providing for a safe environment.
